I find it necessary to remind the members of the Corps under the command of this brigade that we are part of a very visible ministry that represents the Seventh-day Adventist Church, it's fundamental beliefs, doctrines, teachings and principles. Members of this Brigade, therefore who have challenges upholding those principles should request discernment leave or separation from service altogether. It must be noted that it has been brought to my embarrassed attention that there are active members of the Corps who are adorning themselves with jewelry and piercings as well as sporting new tattoos, etc. Let it be known that anyone caught, particularly in uniform or on identified in photos on social media defiling these principles will be summarily relieved of their billet, placed on discernment leave and reverted back to their permanent rank. The Medical Cadet Corps is a voluntary ministry but that is not a license to lower its standards.
