Jamaica SDA Funtastic Community Fair

We are asking all MCC’s to help out at this event.

Thank You!

June 10, 2025

Dear NEC Youth Leaders,
Thank you for your presence at the funeral service of Pastor Trevor H.C. Baker, former President of Northeastern Conference. Your attendance, adorned in your Class A uniforms, was a unified expression of honor, as well as a ministry of comfort, strength, and solidarity. You stood as witnesses to a life well lived and a servant well loved.

Your reverence and readiness reminded us that even in grief, we are still on duty for the
Kingdom. Those who desired to be present but were unable to attend—your prayers,
thoughts, and spirit of support were felt and appreciated. Your commitment as leaders
continues to be a reflection of the heart and strength of Northeastern Conference Youth and Young Adult Ministry.

May God continue to bless you as you serve with excellence, humility, and grace.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Dr. Paula Olivier, Director

UNION PENTECOSTAL PARADE

Good evening MCC family and Sabbath greetings: I have been informed that there was a AU Impact 2025 Evangelistic Planning meeting this week. As a result, local conference leadership was informed that a parade will be held on March 1 at 4:00pm to kick off this series. As a union event, it will be relying on all of the uniform Ministries of the NEC and GNYC with support from SNEC if possible, for this Atlantic Union Conference event. The Northeastern Conference Brigade of the Seventh-day Adventist Medical Cadet Corps is hereby placed on full alert for full participatory support in Class A uniform and honor guard.

The Parade will assemble at Brookville Park in Rosedale Queens. Brookville Park located on Brookville Blvd between South Conduit and 148th Avenue.

The Parade will commence from the Entrance of Brookville Park on the Corner of Brookville Blvd and 147 Avenue. The parade will then make its way by going West along 147th Avenue making a right on 225th Street, proceeding to and turning left onto 145th Road. It will proceed onto Farmers Blvd and then make a left on Farmers Blvd and after passing the intersection of Farmers Blvd and Guy Brewer Blvd, it will make a right onto 176th Street where CWC is located. The March Pass will immediately take place at the entrance of CWC.

Please report readiness for this detail as soon as possible. 1st Battalion is excused IF hardship prevents travel. All units of 2nd Battalion are expected.

Thank you for your positive response to this call of duty.

Blessings upon you.
The General

FESTIVAL OF THE LAITY

AUC MCC DIVISION RESPONSE

Dear fellow cadets,
The MCC division of the Atlantic Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, is sponsoring its 2025 "Festival of Laity" convention in March at the Stamford Hilton Hotel. The administration is requesting the assistance of the AUC MCC Division, which is composed of the Southern New England, and the Northeastern Brigades, as well as elements of the Greater New York and Bermuda Detachments.

The purpose of MCC presence at this grand event will be to provide the logistics and management of the its public health and safety needs. This translates into crowd control, registration expertise, emergency medical response, emergency mental health and spiritual first aid care as well a general administrative logistical support. With participation expected to reach 1,000, there is a need for a fully staffed MCC Detail.

Cadets will be needed to work for six to eight hour shifts throughout the convention. Members of this AUC MCC Division Detail will be accommodated with food and shared rooming at the hotel at no cost to the cadet. Cadets volunteering for this assignment will be responsible for their own transportation.

It is expected that Cadets will be available three hours before the start of the convention and two hours after it concludes to receive the participants.

Celebration of Life Service for Sharon Leacock

The family has requested that all youth leaders attending the funeral ear their respective Class A Uniforms. No sash and remember to bring your white gloves.

During the service, there will be tribute by the NEC Youth Directors and following will be a special tribute by Special Assistant Irwin Lawerence & Executive Coordinators along with the support of our special Teams. We are requesting all Executive Coordinators (whether you served during Ps Leacock’s term or present) to join onstage for this tribute.

Immediately after the service the uniform body will be asked to fall in for the recessional and to carry the body to the hearse.

We will also have a card that can be signed and persons wishing to provide a financial contribution are welcomed to do so. The card & any funds collected will be presented to the family during the tribute.

Blessings
